Echo Vault

2026

echo vault is a digital archive of literary works banned from public schools and libraries across the United States because of challenging dominant narratives, moral norms, or political comfort zones.

Presented as a minimal and inconspicuous website, the project does not restore these works to visibility, but to persistence.
Inspired by historical military practices of encoded communication, the archive holds literature in a protected, encrypted state — accessible, yet resistant to control.

echo vault reflects on censorship as a recurring political strategy and on knowledge as something that must often survive underground, waiting to be discovered by those who are willing to decipher.
